| The primary purpose of Pasos Sureños is to enhance the life conditions of the Mapuche and other families living in rural communities in the ninth region of Chile, by providing instructional workshops that teach health care, skills training and improved farming techniques. The project also proposes to construct a Cultural Center where the Mapuches can offer their crafts and maintain the integrity of their cultural heritage. |
